Rama Katha: Many faces
with my paper I would like to throw light on different stories of Rama among the tribals of India and how through these stories they have attempted to build up their own identity. Through these different versions they uphold their ethnical beliefs and terra firma their myths. I further cite the significant role of viva voce history and oral tradition in the folklores as beingness the most acknow directged medium for the study of subaltern community. The call for of the tribals for a history of their past is partially fulfilled by subaltern school of historiography which has also been reflected in this paper. My goal is to deliver the spread of Ram-Katha and its readaptation which illustrates yet another facet of Indian cultural formation: the interaction of homogenising influences with vibrant local cultural systems which makes our pluralism lively and on-going process.
INTRODUCTION
The underlying hassle of tribals that is emergence of their identity and individuality, led to multiplicity and pluralism among the community.
