During the Classical Period two civilizations arose in the Mediterranean and Asia. The civilizations were capital of Italy and Han China. The Roman and Han Empire are various culturally because of their different beliefs in running their society and ethics of people, held together by their own specific unifying sources. There are comparisons on diversity, population, who can participate, and art, music, literature, and religion and philosophy that make up the purification of these two societies. They had different values that set them apart.
Han and capital of Italy both put restrictions on who could participate culturally. Most people in both civilizations were from the upper- screen out male. The aristocrats and bureaucrats made up Han China and command in participation in education and politics and such. In capital of Italy the upper-class formal educators while the displace class were just literature, if they were literate. The artists that were in Han were the aristocrats but in Rome they were the lower class and slaves that were artists. Artists were looked down upon in Rome. However, unlike Han, all Romans participated in events that took place in the coliseum. Most of it was persecution against Christians or Jews, and they also had gladiator fights and such.




Rome concentrates on design while Han China concentrates on detail and craftsmanship. Rome had monumental construction and built cheer structures while Han had actually little construction and built very few palaces. Rome had the coliseum for sole frolic purposes. Rome was all about entertainment, including carnivals and circuses and more. Rome was definitely more of an engineering type of society. Han focused on perfecting the details and craftsmanship of things. monumental structures like the coliseum were built in the time of Rome Empires. Han did not really have monuments or palaces or entertainment places or anything of that sort. As literature is concerned, Rome had the Epics and Han had poetry.
