In the tragedy of Coriolanus Volumnia is a highly signifi do-nothingt character not only to Coriolanus as a per discussion save the whole plot of the fit in general. It can be verbalize that a mother always wants best for her child but in the case of Volumnia it is ironic that she puts her own ambitions first before her sons safety and happiness w hereas, the audience would give birth the latter to be more important. In Act 1 circumstance 3, Volumnias speech represents that of a mother who thrives on her sons triumphs.
