This news report go away look at organizational behaviors and concepts used by Wal-Mart and will compare and contrast behaviors toward the end of the paper. The research will look at the effectiveness of these organizational behaviors and examine the confirming and negative reactions of such behaviors. In closing, the paper will debate how the behaviors impact the four functions of management.
Wal-Mart is the worlds largest retailer. (CNN, 2008) The company has been in business for less than 50 years and has done genuinely well since its inception, with sales in special of $100 cardinal for 2008. (Wal-Mart, 2008) It all began when the first store opened in 1962 in Rogers, Arkansas. The goal of the company was to provide the consumer with a quality result at a fair price. The company employs in excess of 700,000 employees in more than 3,000 stores worldwide. The Super Wal-Mart stores sell milk, clothing, tires and have a fully staffed pharmacy, making the chain truly a one-stop shop experience. Wal-Mart has a reputation of paying its employee low wages and does non offer health insurance because many of their employees are part-time.

(Wal-Mart, 2009) Wal-Mart does save consumers money. One reason is because no other retailer can match Wal-Marts pricing. Wal-Mart is the worlds largest retailer and as the worlds largest retailer, the company is al slipway looking for ways to increase market share. The company currently sells clothing products, violator products, garden products, food products and some locations have an automotive fondness for tires and oil changes. Pretty much everything from guns to diapers can be bought at Wal-Mart.
