Question 1 (Weighting: 5) Describe how you might contribute to a lesson given to a group of seven year old children learning to play percussion instruments. During the lesson I would make sure that the children were using the instruments in the correct way, pass support where needed, encouraging the children to behave in the correct demeanor and promoting good and minimizing bad behaviour. I would demonstrate how to use each instrument, encouraging the pupils to have fun and experiment with the sounds and different ways of using the instruments. I would observe each pupil passim and record education if required. After the lesson had finished I would advocate the children to tidy away the instruments into the appropriate places, make sure zilch was damaged for the next use and update the inventory.
